Despite the chance of rain we moved forward with our campout to Lost Dutchman State Park. Kinda makes me think of Pirates of the Caribbean...The Flying Dutchman. Anyways, one of the requirements of the Cooking merit badge is for the boys to cook their own meals on a campout. Some of them enjoyed their meals and others had a learning experience! Nonetheless, a requirement fulfilled. We had a good Friday night until a few visitors showed up (see pictures, below). After a restless night, we woke and hiked up to The Basin of the Superstition Mountains. According to Park literature, we hiked a total of 4 miles. As we hiked we noticed 3 signs indicating the completion of Eagle projects. This is meant to inspire those Life scouts in the troop to find a project and begin working. There are countless ideas and projects out there.
