One of the requirements for Citizenship in the Community is to attend a town council meeting. At the commencement of the meeting the town council had all the boy scouts stand up in front of the room to be recognized. All the boys introduced themselves and stated their current scout rank. After which, the council recognized select residents for different achievements. One of those was our very own Mykayla Skinner!
The main topic of discussion while we were in attendance were modification to regulations governing e-cigarettes. The proposal was to restrict e-cigarettes (i.e. vaping) from use in government owned/operated buildings and parks. There were owners of vap shops who voiced their opinions against the further restrictions and there were advocates on the other side of the discussion as well.

Sleepover @ Chase Field - October 24-25
This has been an event talked about for over a year! We finally made it happen. Friday night we slept over at Chase Field (center field to be exact). We played catch, robbed fake homeruns, hit whiffle balls, rode a miniature mechanical bull, ate in the bleachers, toured the Diamondback clubhouse, watched Angels in the Outfield, and wrote inspiring messages to our dads.
The next day, Brother Pond toured us around the ASU campus and we discussed the importance of an education. In addition, we participated in the United Way feed the hungry event. We assisted in breaking a world record by stuffing 1,993 bags of food in 3 minutes.
