The District Camporee was at the Pioneer Living History Museum in Phoenix. This was refreshing as the drive was much closer than usual. Although, for two of the adult leaders, and passangers, missing the exit proved the location not so close as anticipated.
The campsite was about 1/4 mile from the parking lot which meant we needed to pack all our gear in. Who needs the gym anyway?! After getting settled we walked the Vesper's trail and learned about early Arizona. Besides that, the highlight of the night was Braiden drinking a half bottle of hot sauce. Caliente!
Saturday morning proved to be full of adventure; from Western hat making, to crossing the Missouri river, to capture the flag...it was a blast!
New leadership positions were also made. Congratulations to Jaxson for being named the troop musician, Braiden as the leave no trace guide, Harrison as the Chaiplain aid, Alan as the Instructor, and Sean as the Assistant patrol leader.
